About GAJ Photographs
GAJ Photographs in located in Athens, PA, Bradford County or also known as the Twin Tiers region of NY and PA. We are one of the most requested photographers in Central NY, North East PA and South East PA! GAJ Photographs has been in business for many years!
I have had the opportunity to experience many different areas, styles and clients and it definitely shows in my work! I began my photography career as a manager/photographer at a "big box retailer" in 2008. After working there for a while, I realized I wasn't happy in a studio setting.
I am a self taught photographer. I studied photography books, took online courses and training classes and feel in love with photography even more! I can't stop learning about it! I have studied lighting, composition, posing, wedding photography, nature photography, Boudoir photography!
I am an on-location photographer, meaning that I travel to your home or a location of our choice for your session. Though I do not own an actual studio, I do not feel that it's necessary.
I have volunteered my time, experience and donated my photographs to MANY local businesses for local events. I shot the entire day documenting The Bradford County Bicentennial Day Parade/Old People's Day in June 2012 for The Bradford County Historical Society. I have helped a fellow photographer lead a child's photography class at the Spalding Memorial Library. I have donated gift certificates and Fine Art Prints to the Sayre Elks Club and many more.
Another great event was at The Sayre Theatre on March 5, 2013 for the PA Breast Cancer Coalition Fundraiser. I photographed the 5 hour event and gave the images to the Theatre, The PA Breast Cancer Coalition and to some models! - These images have been featured in their newsletter! Please subscribe to their newsletter and Facebook page for information and to see my images!
I enter photography contests often and have won numerous competitions. The most recent was for my Taughannock Falls, NY HDR image that won a "Cool Capture" award on ViewBug.com! - This was also in the running for "Photograph of the Year in 2014" on ViewBug.com as well! Before this, was a contest that I entered for SONY and I ranked #7 out of 587 entries!
Prior to that it was The US National Weather Service - Binghamton, NY area website. My photograph of a fall scenic bridge that I shot in Sheshequin, PA was featured and won. That same image is also being featured on Fine Art America.com (in Dec 2012).
That being said, my images have made the news stations at WBRE and WNEP. They have also been featured on weather.com, nationalgeographic.com, NY State Conservationist Magazine and MANY MORE!
